Furlough days are so much fun! *sarcasm* It felt a lot more like being unemployed for a day than it felt like having a day off. I had just spent the previous week moving and cleaning, so I was beat. It was a good day to do very little and get some R&R time in. So I hung pictures and organized the new place.
I also watched a lot of good stuff on Hulu:
“Community”: Introduction to Film (honestly, not sure why the autism community hasn’t picked up on Abed’s implied Asperger’s syndrome yet).
“The Office”: The Meeting
“The Office”: The Promotion
“House”: Broken
“Heroes” Acceptance
As you can see, I’ve been way behind. Good thing I had a furlough so I can catch up on my TV! *sarcasm*
Cupcakes
I got into the new kitchen and baked some cupcakes without frosting. I don’t like frosting and I’m allergic to so much… I checked out the pre-made frosting at Basha’s and they were all so filled with chemicals and dyes! I was grossed out. So I passed. I was too lazy to make my own frosting that I do like. So I had yummy allergy-free chocolate cupcakes from Cherrybrook Kitchen. When I say “allergy-free,” I mean egg-free, gluten-free, peanut-free, nut-free and wheat-free. I actually can have peanuts, but I can’t have the rest. The cupcakes are pretty good and vegan too. I love anything vegan and allergy-free I can get.
Freelance writing
I also started looking for more freelance writing gigs…I am scoping out what’s available as I rev up my websites. Since I treated the day as a day of rest & relaxation, I haven’t applied for anything yet. I also didn’t leave my new place. I was too busy napping and watching TV shows online. Had it not been a furlough day, it may have been the greatest lazy day ever.
